A short story about coming home. . .
When Rebecca’s husband died unexpectedly on the family farm in Wright City, the only way she knew how to handle her grief was to pack her bags and run. For the last three years, Rebecca and her young daughter have traveled the world exploring its hidden corners, discovering its most vibrant people, and trying to stay one destination ahead of grief. Yet, home is home, and she can’t stay away forever. So, when her mother asks her to come back for Thanksgiving, she agrees. It’s a chance to celebrate the holiday with her ailing grandmother and to let her mom get to know her only grandchild. Rebecca knows it’s time to come home, but with so much hurt in her heart, she wonders if home will bring her the healing peace she’s been yearning for all this time.
