Elizabeth Gilbert’s Big Magic: Creative Living Beyond Fear – $6.98
I fell in love with Gilbert’s magical prose years ago when I stumbled across her memoir, Eat, Pray, Love. Her creative philosophy in, Big Magic, is right in line with what I advocate on a daily basis. That all of us are creative beings and the ability to create isn’t reserved for the few. It’s YOUR right to create! If you or a lovely woman in your life is struggling with finding the path to creativity, grab a copy of this book for instant inspiration.

Gabby Bernstein’s THE UNIVERSE HAS YOUR BACK: Transform Fear to Faith – $13.20
About 6 months ago, I started practicing mindful living. After dealing with a chain of events that left me feeling detached from my creativity and personal relationships, I realized that I needed to look within for some answers. I’ve read my fair share of self-help books, but THIS ONE spoke to me on a whole different level. For anyone struggling with feeling overwhelmed by daily living, looking for answers to questions that have been nagging you, The Universe Has Your Back will help you see the magic in turning over your fear to the Universe. Through meditation, praying, and setting strong intentions, you’ll soon discover how powerful your thoughts are and how you can guide your destiny.
Dot grid journals have been hailed as the miracle solution to keep you on track and productive. At the beginning of the year, I thought I’d give this method a try as a way to be accountable. There are plenty of dot grid journals out there. Some are quite fancy and VERY expensive. Knowing how I tend to lose interest fast, I decided to snag this cheaper dot grid notebook. Well, full disclosure, I haven’t kept up with the daily recording. Not that I’m surprised by this. I’m not that organized, BUT . . . I love this notebook and the smaller 96 dot grid page notebook, too. I use these notebooks for everything. From keeping track of hashtags for all my social media posts to writing scenes for my latest book, the versatility of these notebooks is perfect.
Do you know someone who is a creative AND a notebook junkie? This simple, functional dot notebook from Northbooks would make a great Mother’s Day gift. You could even write a sweet note for mom or your best friend as something extra special!

Beginner’s Level Yoga Classes – Prices Vary
Is there a special woman in your life who is a reluctant yogi? Someone who wants to explore the practice, but isn’t too sure about all the bending, twisting, and tight yoga pants. There’s no denying there’s a certain “yoga culture” that can be intimidating, but when you find a loving community that welcomes everybody the world changes as you know it. I invited a daily yoga practice into my life about 2 years ago and the creative flow has never been better.
To find a beginner yoga class, check with your local parks and recreations department. For all you lovelies who are local and reading this, head over to my yoga instructor and friend’s, Facebook page Elation Odyssey Yoga to learn more about her amazing yoga classes for ALL levels in the St. Louis area.
Okay, so I couldn’t let a Mother’s Day slide by without promoting the book that started it all for me. The Waiting Room is my Amazon bestselling, debut novel that is now almost 4 years old – WHAT!?! This story explores the many levels of mother-daughter relationships from birth to death. Oh, and it has a BIG secret!
Copies can be purchased through Amazon (paperback and ebook). I also have limited SIGNED copies available. If you’re interested in one of these, send me an email. Signed copies are only for U.S. residents (sorry, shipping is just a beast anywhere else!)
Okay, I hope you enjoyed these Mother’s Day gift suggestions. Remember, no matter what you choose to do for your mom, sister, aunt, or yourself, that love and kindness is the ultimate gift.
Love and Peace Out, My Lovelies!
