Last year, I wrote the spooky short story, A Nice Island. Actually, that might be the story that led you to this fantastic community of readers.
The atmospheric, haunting story is set on an island off Georgia’s coast, with stretches of undeveloped beaches, maritime forests, marshlands, and masses of alligators. There’s nothing quite like that island where I live in Missouri, but there is one place I frequently hike that reminds me a lot of the fictional island’s swamp lands.
