We’re on the precipice of a new year, and I know, we’re all looking to 2021 to bring relief and healing. As we move further into the new decade, I’m excited about all the possibilities. What 2020 has taught me is that transformation is hard AF, but it’s something that we must embrace with as much resistance as possible to move forward in peace.
Last week, I promised to send you my 2020 book report, a quick breakdown of everything I read this year. Well, as I thought, it’s rather disappointing. I didn’t read nearly as much as I wanted to. My reading game was usurped by a lot of binge-watching shows and the creative process involved in creating my children’s journal and finishing The Murder Lawyer. I also had a hard time finding stories to fall into. I started a lot of books this year, but never finished them. I have high hopes that 2021’s reading game will improve drastically. Of the books I read in 2020, my favorites were American Dirt, The Other Americans, Anxious People, The Vanishing Half, and The Hate U Give. The full breakdown is at the end of this message.
I’ve so enjoyed spending 2020 with you and having the opportunity to write to you. I am looking forward to continuing to do so in 2021. You can expect more content about writing, about my new book (which I’ll formally announce in January), help choosing the new book cover, fun character interviews, videos, and much more!
May 2021 bring you the peace and happiness you deserve!
