Almost two years ago, I wrote a story called, She. The story was about a woman who was lost and desperate to escape the monotony of her everyday suburban life. It wasn’t that she didn’t love her children or her husband, she merely was questioning what else there was in life meant for her. Over the years, she had created a small life in a tiny box, and she became her own prisoner.
After I wrote this short story, I realized that I never named the woman or described her physically because she could be anyone. She could be any woman out there who felt stuck in a situation, contemplating a life choice or just feeling vulnerable in her life. That short story, which I never published, evolved into a blog series I called, SHE.
I haven’t written any SHE stories on my blog in quite a while, but I think 2019 is the perfect time to start back up. I’ll be posting short SHE segments on social media, and I’ll link to longer stories on the blog when they are available.
I hope that the stories and content that are part of this series speak to you, and I hope that you will share these words with other women in your life. To read some of the original SHE stories, click here.
